A Message from Mr. Reeser

Families,

It’s hard to believe that the 2018-2019 school year will soon be coming to a close. May is a busy month at HomeLink with many important events and deadlines. It is important that you frequently check your email for updates and announcements so you don’t miss any important information. We look forward to seeing you at our end-of-year events!

End of year calendar:

Please make sure to double check our end of year calendar sent out a couple of weeks ago. This calendar reflects important changes in some of our evening events due to our snow days.

Racing Towards Excellence:

Our spring testing will begin next week (May 6th-10th). Please review the emails sent from Penny Finch to see when your student/s is scheduled to test.

Buck Institute Training:

As a general reminder, the teaching staff will be participating in a full week of project-based learning training the week of May 20th-24th. We will have our regularly scheduled classes with substitutes. As of now, we also plan to have Rebecca and me at the training that week and a principal intern will be on campus assisting with the daily operations of our school. We are excited about this training opportunity and look forward to the great lessons and units of study that will be ready for next fall!

Scheduling Update:

The secondary schedule is complete and registration is taking place on Friday, May 3rd. The elementary schedule is currently underway and I will keep families posted on the status as we near completion. Please regularly check your email for updates. The official registration date will be announced when the schedule is complete. Thank you to all of our families who participated in our end of year surveys to assist in the development of our schedules!

End of year Celebration at CBRC:

Save the date! Columbia Basin Racquet Club is planning on having another end of the year celebration for HomeLink families. The date has been tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, June 12th from 1:00-7:00 PM. More information will be sent out via email as we get closer to the date and I finalize plans with the club. Families will need to plan on paying roughly $5.00 per student or $20.00 per family of 4 or more.
