Join Us On May 29 For Family Field Day

While our schools can’t have field day as they traditionally would, our elementary physical education teachers came together (at a safe social distance) to put together Family Field Day 2020 for the community.

With a variety of activities that students and their families can do at home indoors and outdoors, it’s a great way to change up your stay-at-home routine, stretch your muscles and have fun. No special equipment is necessary for any of the activities.

Here’s how it will work:

  • Event will take place on Friday, May 29, 2020
  • Families may choose a minimum of 5-10 events to complete on Field Day. However, families may complete as many events as they like throughout the weekend for more family fun.
  • Scorecards are available to track events but are not submitted to schools---take a picture and post your best scores!
  • We invite our entire district to participate in events, share photos and videos through your school’s approved platforms, and participate on social media using #RSDFieldDay

Each activity listed on the online scorecard is linked to a video of teachers demonstrating the activity. Activities range in difficulty from the stuffed animal toss to the crabwalk so everyone can be challenged.

For those wanting more activities, check out the National Field Day scorecard and activities put together by Open National Trainers.
